The Parkland Airshed Management Zone (PAMZ) is pleased to announce a recent adjustment to its southern boundary. This adjustment means that small portions of Rocky View County and The M.D of Bighorn, previously included in PAMZ, now fall wholly within the Calgary Region Airshed Zone (CRAZ). This adjustment was proposed to CRAZ by the PAMZ Board of Directors in November 2019 and finalized by CRAZ in July 2020.

The boundary realignment will result in more efficient air quality monitoring and management for the two municipalities and is a good example of Alberta’s airsheds working together for the benefit of their members. PAMZ also recently donated a used wind tower to CRAZ for incorporation into its Portable Air Monitoring Lab (PAML).
