The 2017 Synergy Conference is coming together! We have some great topics lined up and have some more in the works. Liability management and closure has been a hot topic this year and we’ll have some information on that. We’ve got a session lined up on renewable energy and how some of its processes compare to (and differ from) what we’re used to with oil & gas. The “Blanket Exercise” is back by popular demand, and we’ll also have an opportunity to hear about (and contribute to) the regulator’s evolving approach to stakeholder engagement.

Scattered through the conference will be the “Ten Talks”… ten minute presentations showcasing and highlighting a variety of synergy related projects, milestones, and opportunities. And of course, we’ll be ensuring there is plenty of time throughout the conference to network, renew acquaintances, meet new people, and share ideas or stories.

Our conference theme for 2017 is “Designing Our Future – Synergies in Action”. Given the changing landscape we are seeing in Alberta, environmentally, socially, and economically, it seems fitting to focus in on opportunities and examples of collaborative efforts, evolving processes, and the growing opportunities to work together in fitting ourselves and our communities for tomorrow.
